During the Easter holidays 35 Year 5 & 6 pupils visited Sorrento and the surrounding areas of the Bay of Naples. The children were lucky enough to explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and enjoyed a day trip to the Isle of Capri. We also climbed Mount Vesuvius; a tough climb but well worth it for the view at the top! On the last day we visited Solfatara, a volcano just on the outskirts of Naples.
The children were immaculately behaved and wonderful ambassadors for the school. The teachers and our guides were very impressed both with their knowledge and with their enthusiasm to learn about ancient Roman life. The trip was enjoyed by all, teachers and pupils alike!
