In the Upper School (pupils in Year 3 to Year 8) we continue to provide outstanding opportunities in all areas: academic, creative, physical, and social. We take a great deal of pride in our community and enjoy sharing in each other’s many and varied successes.
Throughout the school, you will find motivated children, enjoying their learning in wonderful facilities. We have high expectations of all of our boys and girls. The pitch and pace of our curriculum is ambitious. Our children learn to work hard; perseverance is one of our Core Values. It is our aim to provide the highest possible level of pastoral care so that each child flourishes at Newton Prep.
We encourage independence and aim to ensure that all members of our school feel that they are valued and respected. By using subject specialist teachers throughout the curriculum, we fire the children’s imagination and inspire them to be creative, adventurous and committed in their learning. We promote enquiry and initiative and ensure that they are able to enjoy the many and opportunities on offer.
When pupils leave us, they go on to a wide range of senior schools, day and boarding, London and further afield. We aim to ensure that our children are fully prepared intellectually, physically, morally and spiritually, for the next step in their lives and academic careers.
We hope that you will take the opportunity to visit us to see for yourselves what makes Newton Prep such a special school and good preparation for life.
