Flying the Newton Flag at the National Prep Schools' Cross Country Championships

Flying the Newton Flag at the National Prep Schools' Cross Country Championships
Sport

The Millard family continue to run themselves into the Newton Prep record books. Last weekend, Oscar Millard, running in his Newton Prep kit, won the National Prep Schools’ Cross Country Championships in the U13 Boys’ individual. According to our own Director of Sport Miss King, who was there, he made the distance of 3.2km look easy and won with an impressive lead over the 400+ other runners! The championships were held in the rural fastnesses of Malvern College, with a number of other Newton Prep runners taking their part, including Oscar’s younger sister Katya.

History was repeating itself for the Millards; two years’ ago at the National Prep championships, both Oscar and older sister Saskia were victorious in their categories. We are very proud of all the Newton Prep competitors – and are grateful to the parents and staff who travelled up to Malvern to support them!
